In Progress

Are likes for the trivias working from iOS App?

I’ve already added reactions for thousands of facts (at least I thought so) and I decided to check whether anything is changing in numbers (they were never visibly saved when you open the list again, but I thought it is just a glitch). So, finally, after many years I‘ve checked with one of the latest movies and it looks like total numbers are not changing there at all. Is it normal? P.S. We also don‘t have „on the Watchlist“ or not filter in mobile App for many years. It is also pretty strange difference in mobile-oriented 2025

Hello @dmi33, In this case, we recommend you to uninstall the App and then re-install it. If you are still facing the same issue, please confirm and write us back with the following: • Device model • OS version number • IMDb App version number • Screenshots Your device model and software version number can be found in your phone settings, typically in "General information" and "About" sections. For more information about how to access this information or for troubleshooting tips, please visit our Help Site article: https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/mobile-web-apps/imdb-app-general-troubleshooting/GPV9HCYQGA8XT8QZ?ref_=helpcs_p#

Hello, Although it looks like my reaction was eventually counted in the total number after 10 minutes (not straight away or not even after 2-3 minutes, which can be also misguiding for somebody without IMDb experience), I still can’t see it afterwards (nothing like „You found this interesting“ there). By the way, same problem is relevant for User Reviews and Quotes reactions. - iPhone 16 Pro Max - iOS 18.5 - IMDb 15.10 I am not sure how to add screenshots from my phone here. P.S. I‘ve reinstalled the app before checking again, I think it worked the same before that too.

@Jolene Hi! Unfortunately, after 10 months reactions are still not visible when you open the list again. I mean „You found this interesting“ and an opposite one. However, at least total numbers seems to be changing after some time (not right away too), which is also a bit strange from the UX perspective. Thanks!

@dmi33

The same is the case on the IMDb website in my experience.

Previous replies about voting say that it is expected behavior. For example:

"This is normal behaviour. When you vote a review helpful or unhelpful, for a limited period of time we do display your vote on the page and increase the count for the review to confirm your vote has been submitted. However, the votes are not actually counted in real-time and nor are your votes permanently available for you to see on each review later.

If you return later, your vote will have been counted (and the number of helpful/unhelpful votes increased to include yours) but due to technical limitations we are unable to show your helpful/unhelpful votes permanently, sorry."

Most posts about this subject are about reviews, but I guess it's similar on other items.
