In Progress

Bug when video is started in vertical mode

When a video is started in vertical mode from e.g. a movie's page, it exits when the phone is then held horizontally; it used to work fine. Now the video correctly fills the horizontally held device for less than a second, then exits abruptly back to the movie/series page. - iPhone XR (iOS 17.5.1) - IMDb version 14.15.1 (updated today) - tried a phone restart (power held until full reboot) - tried app reinstall It used to work fine until a few updates back. Thanks for looking into it.

Hi @Ab_J_Sam It happens in any title. Two questions please: 1. How do I submit the video recording? 2. Is there any sensitive private information in the log data, since this is a public forum? Thanks.

Hi again @Ab_J_Sam I have attached the screen recording; as for the analytics data, I couldn't find any entry for "imdb", but also I have attached a screenshot of that result. Thanks.

Unfortunately it doesn’t appear that this was fix yet. It’s been a year since the original poster requested a fix and the issue persists. I personally have not been able to use the app to watch any previews at all any more since the issue started. This should be treated as one of the top priority fixes on the IMDB team.
