Freezes

I have used your app reliably for years. I am always finding interesting things to read about. However, in the last couple of weeks, I have been able to look for a movie or actor, but when the app opens about what I what I want, it freezes. I can only see what usually pops up, and that’s it — no scrolling, no returning to the search menu, nothing. I have removed and reinstalled the app. I have checked to make sure my iOS has been updated, I have removed the app and restarted my phone. The only thing I know of that I haven’t done is wipe my phone and reinstall everything, but I’ll do it if that would help. Any ideas? Looking at wiki for everything isn’t quite what your app is!! I’m going through IMBd withdrawal!!

I just saw your post and I have the same issue. I have an iPhone SE model, which may be the issue. I have been told that Tech support is looking into it, but haven’t heard back from them yet. Others with an SE phone have reported the issue, too.

I have the same issue with my IMDB app on my phone. This app has recently started freezing up constantly when doing searches. I have an iPhone SE (1st gen) and IOS 18.5. Thanks for your quick response. Here’s mine for yours: 1. iPhone SE 2. IOS 18.4.1, updated to 18.5 3. N/A 4. Freezes up on certain searches, ie. Poker Face. Followed all recommended steps to solve issue, ie. updated software, restarted device, etc. 5. Works in laptop browser. 6. It’s been ongoing for approximately a week. I have the same issue. Also SE. tried everything. This has been going on for a long time now. I used to be able to search on browser but now automatically redirects without giving me the option. App version 15.8.5 IOS 18.5 Cannot use the app - once you search for anything it is totally frozen.

I also have an iPhone SE and I can view actor/actress pages, but I cant scroll down on movies and shows. 18.5 software update. This has been happening for weeks. Seems like the SE part is our common denomenator in this thread.

Everytime I search for a program, the app freezes as soon as the program page comes up. Doesn't happen on laptop or tablet—only iPhone SE. Anyone else have that issue? Thanks for your reply, but this situation occurred several times BEFORE I had an IMDb account but only on my iPhone SE (fully updated with the most recent iOS). The only reason I have this account is to get help with the issue. When I did, I noticed that there are others who've reported the same issue—one of them who also has an iPhone SE. One person who replied said he had reported it to a team. Since it appears to be a known issue, I hope IMDb will resolve the issue soon.

Possible SOLUTION: I’ve had the same problem on my iPhone SE. iOS 18.5. Reinstalling didn’t work, but when I changed my display setting from Larger Text to Default, that did it. (Unfortunately, this isn’t really a solution for me, since I prefer the zoomed text on my smaller phone.)

Switching from zoomed text on my SE iPhone to default text does resolve the freezing issue, but like you I prefer the zoomed text. Hopefully, a solution can be found for this dilemma.
