I can no longer log in to IMDB on my iPhone 14 Plus (iOS 18.7.1)

I can no longer log in to IMDB on my iPhone 14 Plus (iOS 18.7.1) although it works fine on my iPad. On my iPhone when I try to sign in it says there is already an account in that name. I enter my Amazon password but it just says there is already an account in that name. I have tried deleting the app and reading and switching phone off and on again. It is as if I am trying to create a new account with a name that already exists rather than sign in using my existing details.
