I no long receive notification banners for new episodes on my iPhone.
Starting about a month ago I stopped receiving pop up banner notifications on the current shows I watched. Instead for a couple weeks I received the random notification from Apple TV instead, but even that has stopped. Ironically last week and today I did receive a notification for new episodes of Widow’s Bay through IMDB, which is an Apple TV show. However I still do not receive notifications for any other shows.
I checked my in app settings, where I turned everything off then back on, and logging out of my account and then back in did not help either. Since then I’ve signed up to be notified via e-mail, but that misses a show on occasion too, like ‘American Dad!’. I could not find anyone with the same issue, so I don’t know if this is a well known issue. What can I do?

In this case, we recommend you to uninstall the App and then re-install it. Please be advised that for the security of our members, we no longer some functionality for certain versions of the IMDb App on specific device operating systems (OS).
• For iOS, please ensure that your device is on iOS 17.0 or above
• For Android, please ensure that your device is on Android OS 11 or above
• For FireOS, please ensure that your devices is on FireOS 8.0 or above

About a month ago I posted about an issue where I no longer receive the notification banners for new episodes of active shows on my watch list. There was some back and forth replies where I provided phone, app details, and the names of some of the shows I would normally receive notifications for. Then for 20 days I didn’t hear back, until last weekend when there was a response that simply said the following.
“Hi @Spike2pt0,
Thank you for your patience.
Our technical team has fixed the issue.”
Unfortunately the issue was (and is) in fact ongoing still. I replied the same day with photos of the e-mail I received for a new episode and of the new in-app notification center missing the same notification. The photos will be attached below, with one posted as a reply. However there was no further response and the post was just marked solved.
If this is an ongoing issue that doesn’t have a fix at the moment, that is fine, and I understand this isn’t an app-crippling bug or anything. As it stands the issue persists.
