IMDB APP: Show cast list using images of the actors AS THEY APPEARED IN THE MOVIE/TV show
The image on the cast list of that movie should show the actors AS THEIR CHARACTERS using stills from that movie/show! On the Desktop version of IMDB, you can click on the characters name to see photos of that character. This is a feature that is HIDDEN for most users because: (a) The link to the character page DOESN"T EVEN LOOK LIKE A LINK - it just looks like TEXT! and; (b) this feature doesn't exist AT ALL on the mobile app which (lets face it is 100% of when we would want to know who is playing the actor - when we're sitting down watching the film!).
Moreover, for animated films of where there is a lot of prosthetics used, we should be able to see the charactereasily as we scroll through the cast - comparing what we are seeing on the screenwith what's in the app. In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, unless you already know that Simon Pegg played the Junk Dealer on Rey's home planet at the beginning, or that the characters name is "Unkar Plutt" (which is never mentioned in the film!) then you have no hope of answering the question: whose voice is that???
In the Cast Listing for "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial", Drew Barrymore has a photo of herself at age 40, not as the little girl in the film.
Lastly, sometimes small characters who peak your interest may not have a name but will appear in the cast list. 'Reporter 4' with a 40 year old B&W photo of when the actor was a young, fresh-faced man instead of the grissled old newshound he's playing is impossible to match up.
