'Upcoming Releases' widgets for iOS/Mac: 1) Days Left until episode for followed TV Shows/Episodes, 2) Days until popular Movie Release

The App and Website next-episode already offers a great widget for upcoming tvshow/episode releases with a day until release countdown. It's nice for movie and tv fans to just swipe left or go to the mac homescreen and just have it pinned in a little info box there. For movies I used trakt.tv but a few days ago they paywalled widgets behind 7 euros per month and just in general made the app unusable for free users.

So this is something where a service like imdb could step in and become more attractive compared to competitors like letterboxd etc.

Hello @finvius,

We have updated this thread to an Idea so other community members can vote on the search feature improvement you highlighted and give visibility of interest for IMDb staff to monitor.

Hi @finvius,

Great idea! I wanted to reach out and let you know that if we do have something similar that might help you keep track of movies.  Once you register and add movies or shows to your Watchlist, you can receive email alerts and/or push notification alerts when they are available to watch.

There's some more information about this feature in our Watchlist FAQs: https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/track-movies-tv/watchlist-faq/G9PA556494DM8YBA

Specifically, see the FAQ "Can I receive theater/streaming release notifications for titles in my Watchlist?" for more details.

Another feature that you might find handy is adding a calendar reminder for movies that are coming soon.  If you have the IMDb iOS app, you can tap where it says "Coming Soon" to set up a calendar reminder. Below, I put screenshots of what that looks like on our iOS app for your reference.

We'd love to hear how we can help you better track upcoming movies and shows. Thanks for sharing!
