Info to Poll Makers (Updated)

Hi, I added some new information, since the modernized polls came with a lot of changes. This post will be updated if there are more changes to the polls. Please take the time to read this information. - The word wrap issue now appears to be solved, so adding a blank line between different rows of text is no longer necessary. This means that the text in your list descriptions will look exactly the same in the poll. Example: List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls562533295/ Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/mHI_cCI3qs8/ - Bullet points ( • ) and dashed points ( - ) are now OK to use in list descriptions. Example: https://www.imdb.com/poll/SalAAUmDWWyvpmIkOEl1Tw/ - If an image is missing from your poll, we will not be able to see or vote for that option until you replace the image. To see that an image is missing you have to look at the poll results or your list. - Color is no longer available in polls, so no need to use color in your list. [blue]blue text[/blue] - Spoiler tags will not show the hidden text until you view the poll results. [spoiler]spoiler alert[/spoiler] Example: https://www.imdb.com/poll/bkd02et1xOc/ - Links in poll options are not clickable until you view the poll results - When making an image list, it's always good to add captions (titles, character names etc.) - External links to other sites in the poll text are not allowed anymore. If there is an external link in a list you haven't edited in a long time, the link will stay as long as you don't edit the list text. - When mentioning a movie, TV show or person in the list intro, it's good to add a link to the IMDb page: Examples: [link=nm0000949] (name link for Cate Blanchett) [link=tt1475582] (title link for the TV series Sherlock) [link=tt0068646] (title link for the movie The Godfather) Reminder: Re-pushing a poll A live poll can be updated (re-pushed) to add one or more options to the poll (max 35). Always add the new option at the end of the list, and do not change the order of the choices in the list. It is recommended to include a note with the day's date, so voters can see that the option was added after the poll was published.
