Live Poll: A Room with a View

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls596454725/ Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/z4vePdnYbXQ/?ref_=po_ti Each of the following films take place, either entirely or predominantly, in just one room. Each room may or may not have a view of what's outside the room, but we, the viewers, get an exquisite view of life when one room successfully captures the human experience. When there's nothing else to distract the audience, the essentials, such as the writing and acting, must be spot-on. Which of these movies provided you with the most meaningful view of life? Note: The poll's title is taken from the E.M. Forster novel of the same name. In 1985, Merchant Ivory made a film based on the book.

Wow, I can't believe I didn't think of that film. Thanks, so much, for the reminder! I added it.

I still haven't seen that film. Even though my Dad died six years ago, I've been afraid to see it. I generally don't avoid movies that hit close to home but this one's the exception. Thank you for the suggestion, Pencho. I added it. : )

rubyfruit76, "With" should be capitalized. Please change the title of your list from: A Room with a View To: A Room With a View

This is really weird: I posted a reply to this and it just disappeared. I'll try again: This time, though, I'm very tired so I'll keep this shorter: IMDb doesn't capitalize it: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0091867/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0_tt_5_nm_3_in_0_q_a%2520ro This reminded me that I should cite the book and movie so I'll add a brief note. Thanks, Dan. : )

rubyfruit76, I'm torn between 'Rear Window' and '12 Angry Men'.

Truly great films. I have sentimental attachments to 'My Dinner with Andre,' 'A Raisin in the Sun,' and 'Women Talking,' all very good films, but I think 'Rear Window' is the best movie on the list. Still, I might vote for one my sentimental favorites. I don't know; I'm so indecisive, lol.

FYC: El ángel exterminador - https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0056732/reference/ One of Luis Buñuel most famous films where the guests to a party find they are unable to leave the room.

I'll cut one of the weaker films on the list and add this. Thanks for the suggestion!
