Now, 21 hours after with 107 votes, I find it fascinating how exact my estimation was. Ripley has 80% by now. I guessed 70% - 90%. 80% Is exact in the middle.
These are mostly women (in fact, maybe all of these characters are women) so I strongly suggest saying "Women," not "girls." If one or two are girls (under the age of approximately 21), "Women and Girls" is fine.
True! It mostly applies to horror movies, because there are mostly very young women, but it really is a term with no negative connotation. The term is connoted to strong females that smash the beast!
It might be good with a short explanation of the term "final girl".
And I'm not sure if a TV series should be included since the term is typically used for movies. The series is ongoing so we don't know if she will eventually die. Or does she become a "final girl" by the end of the first season? I haven't seen the show.
Bravo, Paok, and much applause...
