I added him, but I recall an interview where Cillian Murphy (who's from Ireland) took great offence to being called "British," so that complicates it a bit.

Oh, I didn't realize that - maybe he should be excluded then since Irish people are not generally considered British?

So far, he's the only Irish actor to win Best Actor. Likewise, if Jessie Buckley wins tomorrow, she is the first Irish actress to win.

I took him out because it's not just a matter of accuracy; there's a long, complicated history there that makes it deeper and more complex. I don't think many Irish people would appreciate being seen as synonymous with British people.
