The 3 Stooges are cleaners at a spaceport when they accidentally take off and land on Venus. The boys encounter a talking unicorn, a giant fire breathing tarantula and an alien computer that creates three evil duplicates of the Stooges.
Don Knotts is Roy Fleming, a small town kiddie-ride operator who is deathly afraid of heights. After learning that his father has signed him up for the space program, Roy reluctantly heads for Houston, only to find out upon arriving that his job is a janitor, not an astronaut. Anxious to live up to the expectations of his domineering father, Roy manages to keep up a facade of being an astronaut to his family and friends. When NASA decides to launch a lay person into space to prove the worthiness of a new automated spacecraft, Roy gets the chance to confront his fears.

Starship Troopers is a satire, but I don't think it can be considered a comedy.
I also don't remember much comedy in Treasure Planet or Flash Gordon. None of them is marked as comedy at the IMDb

I voted for Galaxy Quest, I remember I had zero interest in watching it, but had a great time once I did.
I can't understand the love for Spaceballs, it is from my point of view one of the less funny and most boring comedies I've seen.
