Wow, it surprised me to see this, although four are very safe picks. Still, I like that he did that. And I'm heartened to see Ordinary People on his list. I wondered if any other pope had made such an announcement. When I looked into it, it seems Pope Francis discussed his respect for post WWII Italian films and even mentioned La Strada and Rome, Open City. If he had done that when my mother was still alive, I could have gotten her to watch Fellini, lol.
