Mars Attacks! is a cult sci-fi black comedy about an invasion to Earth lead by a group of Martians and the chaos and destruction they create. Directed by Tim Burton, it was based on a series of trading cards and intended as an homage both to the 1950's sci-fi B movies and to the 1970's disaster movies that were noted for their A-list ensemble cast. For that reason, Burton had a huge cast made of both some of the bigger movie stars available and many talented actors that were about to have their big breaks to become movie stars themselves. Thank you. I think they are a character for themselves as the martian colletive. Some of the most funny actions in the movie go on their bill. From zappin' away someone to "Yah-hooo-ooooo!!!" ;) Guess I have to watch it again. I still will vote for granny, I guess. But I think the martians will get votes anyway - on the one hand for being absurdly funny designed and on the other hand, people will remember many funny scenes, when they see them in the list.
