Almost the worst Star Trek series ever.  Only the Academy series is worse.  I might vote Spock in loving memory of Leonard Nimoy, but probably wouldn't vote at all for this woke garbage.

@GabrielFox   The original Star Trek series was almost my life when I was a teenager.  I was president of my high school science fiction club, I was president of my city's Star Trek club, I was a huge first generation Trekkie that attended the conventions....

I enjoyed the original cartoon series because it was still something Trek.  I was okay with Next Generation.  I wasn't a fan of DS9, but I still watched.  I actually liked some of Enterprise and Voyager (though both were inconsistent).  I enjoyed most of the movies with the original cast (except The Final Frontier) and a few of the movies with the Next Gen cast.

Everything after Voyager (Picard, Strange New Worlds, Below Decks, the Abrams movies, Discovery, Academy) has been awful.  None of it followed the future vision of Roddenberry (who I actually got to speak to once on the phone in 1982).  It is almost all woke garbage.  The Great Bird of the Universe (a standard Trekkie nickname for Star Trek creator/producer Gene Roddenberry) would role over in his grave.

So... yes I feel strongly about this!

@TheOldJalapenoman ,

Were you ever fortunate enough to meet Bjo Trimble or John Trimble at science fiction or Star Trek conventions? I'm assuming since you were president of your city's Star Trek club that you wrote letters to NBC to save Star Trek.

Bjo (I think) used to be the head of the Star Trek Welcommittee, a national group for organizing Star Trek clubs.  I never had the opportunity to meet her in person, but I did get some of the mass mailings that were sent out by her and her group.

@TheOldJalapenoman,

Per her biography on Memory Alpha:
https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Bjo_Trimble

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bjo_Trimble

Trimble was one of the major forces behind the letter-writing campaign that saw Star Trek: The Original Series renewed for its third season. She was also the driving force behind the letter-writing campaign that urged President Ford to change the name of the first space shuttle to Enterprise. Trimble and her husband John also helped set up Lincoln Enterprises, the mail-order company run by Majel Barrett-Roddenberry.

Sadly, her husband, John Trimble, died in April 2024.

@dan_dassow   Yes, I was aware of her and her activities to keep the original series alive.  I was just trying to tell you about my limited personal dealings with her.  All Trekkies/Trekkers owe her a great deal for her efforts and her work.
