@Aris_Athanas, I realize that your poll already has 35 choices. There are probably enough other fictional towns to justify a part two of this poll: Storybrooke, Maine - Once Upon a Time https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1843230/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2426110/mediaviewer/rm2164424192/ Cabot Cove, Maine - Murder She Wrote https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0086765/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0653546/mediaviewer/rm1480177153/ Springfield - The Simpsons https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096697/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7156264/mediaviewer/rm2630899712/

I don't know the TV series, but there is a real town in Pennsylvania called Punxsutawney.

I was just kidding around, because I do like that city name soooo much. It's from the movie 'Groundhog Day' with Bill Murray. The name is cool, somehow. Sounds like a native name.

I was wondering if you were mentioning it because of Groundhog Day. : ) It really is a real town, with the groundhog and weather reporters and everything, lol. It's about 75 miles from where I live, which most Americans consider close by. I've never been anywhere that I consider to be near it but when I was younger and waited tables, twice I met a few people from that town when they ventured into "the big city," lol.

Sounds like you would live in Pennsylvania. With the 75 miles you give insight of the towns you would potentially live in. You say big city ... the next very big city is Pittsburgh. If counted in street distance it would be the middle of Pittsburgh. You are right. For Germans I would consider "close by" rather as 10-15 kilometers.
