Live Poll: Happy 70th Birthday, Roland Emmerich!

Intro: Today, November 10, 2025, Roland Emmerich turns 70 - the Swabian visionary who brought the end of the world to the big screen again and again. From Independence Day (1996) to The Day After Tomorrow (2004) and 2012 (2009), his apocalyptic visions redefined blockbuster cinema. What began as a struggle for recognition in Hollywood became a triumph of scale and imagination. He turned destruction into spectacle, chaos into art, and heroes into legends. Stars like Will Smith, Mel Gibson, and Jake Gyllenhaal have walked through his cinematic storms. Today, Hollywood salutes the man who taught it to think big - and sometimes, to end it all beautifully. What's your favorite kind of Roland Emmerich movie or TV Series? Please discuss it here. I just saw that Dibyayan has this poll: Favorite Film Directed by Roland Emmerich https://www.imdb.com/poll/JV3UAkznfIg/ Your list includes a TV show, but I still think it might be too similar.

Thank you for pointing out. Even though it's a little late. I got to do something inbetween, but if you give me corrections for tonight, I can change before the polls go online. I changed it now to "What's your favorite genre of Roland Emmerich?". Some of his movies have no or other realted sience-fiction themes, so please look at the list and tell me, if that would fit. Thank you. :D
