As Daniel Brühl is already taken, I'd say Götz George (may god bless him. * 06/23/1938 - † 06/19/2016) https://www.imdb.com/de/name/nm0313443/ and Iris Berben (* 08/12/1950) https://www.imdb.com/de/name/nm0001941/ If ... later ... a third one per user, then Heike Makatsch (She's also really great!) https://www.imdb.com/de/name/nm0538443/

It's nice to see Topol and Wagner Moura on the list. I guess, I'd vote for Iris Berben. She's a very good actress and the most beautiful German actress. I Guess the most German users will vote for Daniel Brühl, who is really deserving it. And Christoph Waltz is also a very good pick. I saw the TV-series, where he made an accountant to liquidate a company. He was shockingly good.

If the question was one female and one male, there would be more female actors on the list. So I picked one female and one male, which I both do admire. Sadly Götz George already passed. He had an accident with a motorboat and his leg was shredded. Not a way to die for such a high person. He once played Fritz Harmann (Deathmaker), a real serial killer in Germany's 1920s and another time he played Schimanski, Germany's best known detective for decades. He descended from Heinrich George, his father, who played in Metropolis. Iris Berben is one of the most beautiful persons living in my home city Munich. She is a very distinguished, elegant and eloquent person and always fun to see on screen. She played in Peanuts, a movie about a real estate scandal that actual happened in the 1990s around the builder-owner Jürgen Schneider who did frauds ranging to billions of Deutsche Marks. He is called Jochen Schuster in that movie. Berben also played in many comedies. She has a hand for it. One of her last widely known is Triangle of Sadnes. She is one to admire. A real lady! In last times her best movie, imho, was 791 km, a taxi ride with a pack of five people heading to know and understand each other better while riding 791 km of distance (491 miles). It is a deep hearted movie, I'd watch again. One of the little movies you won't forget.

It's a little sad there is no Spain, France, Italy, Canada on the list. There are several good movies coming from these countries.

Yes, the Spaniards make some great thrillers. Japan and Korea make some good horrors. Unfortunately, I don't believe there are any people from those countries here. Cinephile/Maxence is from Canada, and I think Elmo lives in France.

Didn't see ElMo here for a long time. Did he change his name? I know it happened here that people have changed their name. Maybe they wanted to do a new start. But in real life you can't do a new start. You live with what you've stated.

Chinese often did very good movies like e.g. 'Hero' or 'Return to Dust'. It's not that tgere are just a few Chinese people around everywhere. Russians did good movies. I guess there are some immigated people how love the west. Movies like 'Stalker' or 'Andrey Rublyov' or 'The Brothers Karamazov', 'Potemkin'. ... Can't be that there are only us few - ok maybe the others aren't yet interested in this forum.

Nice to see you taking part, Dibyayan. It would be sad, if there was no Indian on the list. India has such a big film business. It's more than twice as big as Hollywood. It produces twice as much movies and has twice as much actors. It's just that Hollywood generates more money, with its occidential connections.

It's not that I didn't try. She simply doesn't want to. But she often helps me creating polls, when she thinks it's interesting. She also had some ideas which are live now. We then worked together on my account. and in earlier polls, I wrote: "Suggested by blackbolt-3." But then I asked about rules due to that and stopped. It was said that only members can suggest - and she isn't.
