Live Poll: Moonfall

Intro:

NASA plans a new moon mission after more than 50 years. The last people on the Moon were the astronauts of the Apollo 17 mission. The final footprint was left by Eugene Cernan, who re-entered the lunar module on December 14, 1972. No human has set foot on the Moon since then. NASA is planning, with the Artemis II mission, to send four astronauts on a roughly ten-day journey around the Moon and back - the launch is currently scheduled for no earlier than February 5, 2026. The first crewed Moon-landing attempt since 1972, Artemis III, is currently targeted for mid-2027. Considering a comedy about that, which of these guys would you best like to pick for that mission? To discuss, please click here. For the slideshow, please click here.

Yet another great idea! : )

FYC:

I keep thinking that I've seen an image of Brian from "The Family Guy" dressed up as an astronaut but I haven't found it yet. I think I'm remembering correctly, though, because I found these:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0182576/mediaviewer/rm899597824/?ref_=ttmi_mi_34_1

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0182576/mediaviewer/rm1401210368/?ref_=ttmi_mi_40_3

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2581262/mediaviewer/rm3734875392/?ref_=tt_ph_3

Anyway, the photo of Brian as an astronaut isn't with the photos of the same episode so I suppose, if you want to include it, you could use the last image above (it's from the episode "Space Cadet") and as a caption use "The Griffins"

I also have a few suggested edits:

#1: I don't know the character's name but I think Presley's character's name should be included since she's in the photo (or replace with a photo with just him or him with a few or several others)

#6: Instead  of "fellows," I suggest "friends" or "other Muppets"

#13: "Other" may be a bit problematic so maybe just "The Ghostbusters," "These Ghostbusters," or "The 2016 Ghostbusters"?

#15: Jones, Mahoney and their "peers" instead of "fellows" (or something like "their colleagues" or "other officers")? (And Jones and Mahoney should probably both be last names or both be first and last — you know, the same for both)

#1: With Partners I meant his colleagues. I'm not sure anymore, if she was a partner, or more like a witness? I was a little insecure about, so I wrote his partners and included her just in the image. I've changed it. Please tell me, if it looks better now. That's because in the police they call their colleague partner. I guess that is because to lower the distance a little, when working closely together.

#6: I've put in "friends". Think you are right and it sounds best.

#12, #13: Now I stated "The original Ghostbusters", because they were first and of course "The 2016 Ghostbusters" I do like Melissa McCarthy, Kate McKinnon and Kristen Wiig so bad, they are really cool and would make the satire a hit! Especially McKinnon is underestimated. I think she could also do better roles than in the new Ghostbusters-movie and in Barbie, although she really made the best of it. I want to se her as a lead in a comedy movie.

#15: Since Mahoney is the most prominent guy in the series, I've put him on first. Now it's: "Mahoney, Jones and their peers". I formerly wrote it Lavelle Jones, Mahoney and their fellows, because Mahoney was always just called Mahoney in the movie, whilst Lavelle was called Lavelle. Some guys were always named by their family name, like Mahoney and Hightower, who's exactly name was Moses Hightower. Mahoney was also called Carey, but not in the movie. Or I can't remember.

Thank you, Ruby. What do you think about my "Jubelee ..." series?

I've already put  a lot of work into it. Will it have attention or is it better to not continue?

I think it's quiete good, but I'm not sure anymore. It would be nice to know about.

  5. Merry Christmas
  6. On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1968, the crew of Apollo 8, the first humans to orbit the Moon, read from the Book of Genesis during a television broadcast. During their ninth orbit of the Moon astronauts Bill Anders, Jim Lovell, and Frank Borman recited verses 1 through 10 of the Genesis creation narrative from the King James Bible. Anders read verses 1–4, Lovell verses 5–8, and Borman read verses 9 and 10.
