SPOTIFY is my all-time favorite streaming service. It has easily the best algorithm of all the streaming services I've used. Take that Netflix! Plus for some weird reason, Spotify is paying for my monthly Hulu subscription. Been doing so for a couple+ years. Why? #shrugs Why not?

I'm almost completely unfamiliar with Spotify. I've visited the website a few times and have only observed short audio feeds, no video feeds. That's one of which I've definitely yet to gain an understanding. Maybe, one of these days, I will read the encyclopedia article about Spotify. Honestly, I've rarely even observed references to Spotify beyond the past debacle of the contract concerning Joe Rogan. I think I will just stick with maintaining an understanding of YouTube, Bitchute, Rumble, Dailymotion, Vimeo, and 哔哩哔哩 Bilibili, maybe once in a while visiting ol' boring TikTok, for the time being, as far as browsing/watching videos be concerned. While my interest in Twitter content is growing, I mostly only reach the website via YouTube channels.

@Tsarstepan Spotify is not one of the apps I use. I prefer to listen to music or watch music videos on youtube.

I don't think I have downloaded a single app in 2022. I use website versions.

@cinephile The question is: Which one is your obsession?, Which app do you use all the time, every day?

@GabrielFox

I'm going to vote 11, I don't use any of the apps listed on this list.

According to my laptop, the app I use most often is Google Chrome.

At face value, I'm in the exact same boat as cinephile, Why should I download an app, when I can simply load up the website corresponding to it in a Web browser? I should further elaborate that there is a certain beauty to using browsers, in that specific Web pages can bookmarked, copied or added to the reading list (whatever that is). As I understand it, there may be special features in apps that allow for interfacing (¿more efficiently?) between the remote host and the camera or microphone on a smartphone, but I don't have a need for those features (even if interesting on a technical level), not to mention that the app undoubtedly expects me to register an account and sign in with that account. I got tired of having so many accounts over a decade ago. I'm perfectly satisfied with only having anonymous-level access to YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, et al. Sadly some material is hidden behind a registration barrier, and often it doesn't really end there, as visitors may be expected to added to somebody's friends list (which requires approval), subscribers list (which doesn't require approval) or whatever, in order to just be able to read or watch certain things, with or without being able to post messages or upload non-text media.

I've run Android OS with no familiarity with iOS, and I ought to point out that I don't acquire any apps from Google Play Store (being as it is that I'm not linked with an account), so I only ever really download the corresponding Android Package Kit from websites that don't care know my exact identity. The only drawback is that I cannot make use of any app (or variant thereof) intended only for purchase at a price greater than zero, but I don't mind, as thus far, I've not had a genuine need for anything so elaborate/fancy. I'm sure there are a lot of other people who operate in a similar manner, which means that our ways of doing things aren't going to be reflected in any official statistical data, since most analysts are only going to pay attention how often a given app is downloaded from Google Play Store or the stores corresponding to Apple, Amazon etc., basically ignoring everything else. Anyway, as I revealed earlier, I'm satisfied with accessing the remote hosts associated with popular apps via website, thus via a Web browser.

@jeorj_euler Thanks for your thoughts. I include a new option: I do not like access with apps. I do it via a web browser.
