"On Thursday, 10 October 2024, the romance publisher announced that it will be teaming up with the independent production company, Centinel Media to release up to 28 movies and series over a span of three years starting in 2025.

The movies will be "uplifting romantic entertainment" adapted from a selection of Harlequin books with the intent to create "one cinematic universe," according to a press release."

Just as a personal note, my mother and grandmother loved to read those novels. They would read the same book 10 times, I guess, I couldn't understand this. They would also exchange romances between them. As far as I can remember, their favorite author was Barbara Cartland.
