The Vespa is more than just a scooter — it’s a movie icon. From Rome to London, from New York to the most surreal Spanish villages, Vespas have symbolized freedom, style, youth, and even comedy. If you had the chance to join a scooter gang straight out of these titles, which of these Vespa moments would you pick to ride along? I don't know if these bikes were Vespas, but the two brothers made a journey for re-uniting after being disconnected for years, living their own lives, each in '25 km/h' (2018). They take a ride on their small bikes, called "MoFa" in Germany (Motorisiertes Fahrrad / motorized bicycle). https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7225386/mediaviewer/rm2102952449/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7225386/mediaviewer/rm458979584/ (got no clue if that counts for your idea, just fyc)

It is a heartful drama about two brothers who split up and re-unite throughout the movie, but they have got their hurdles. It's a nice character-study. I must admit that my ideas to vehicles are a little limited. I'm not so good at that, but you seem to be an enthusiast for that matter.

With those vehicles I thought it was comedy and Dumb & Dumber came in to my mind

I guess my vote will go to 'Roman Holiday' (1953). I simply loved Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in that movie. They are gold!

Yay. Right! I saw some of these movies, but I best remember on the scenes with Hepburn and Peck. Maybe Quadrophenia could be a candidate, or the one with Clooney. I will think if there are better ones to pick. Maybe I'll watch the animated, if I'll catch them.

This last post was privated, because of the internet adress, I guess: I'm very impressed that you know all the exact types of these Vespas. You ARE an enthusiast! There is an interesting website, when you want to check out cars in movies. When Frau Breu and me watch racing movies, we often consult the page to figure out which brand several cars would be: [Adress imcdb. org] (Internet Movie Car Data Base)

Please add the discussion link. Also, I think it's cool to include yourself as an option in your poll, but in this case I'm not sure a music video should be included when the question is about movies.

True. You could replace movies with titles. But then also TV-series count.

@AlbertoMazarro, For your consideration: Vespa https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1516598/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1516598/mediaviewer/rm3600086017/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1516598/mediaviewer/rm3440712448/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1516598/mediaviewer/rm345371649/ A boy's secret trek from his country town to Budapest to claim a prize evolves into the hopeful search for his missing father. Lali, a Roma boy, wins a chocolate bar from a friend in a card game and discovers that the wrapper makes him the lucky winner of a red motor scooter. How to claim the prize in person, as required, when you're only twelve and look much younger? First-time director Groó creates a sure and realistic depiction of childhood on the cusp of manhood in this sensitive and lovingly crafted coming-of-age story. The Lizzie McGuire Movie https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/mediaviewer/rm924378881/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/mediaviewer/rm1191700225/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/mediaviewer/rm1862788865/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/mediaviewer/rm1878662401/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0306841/mediaviewer/rm295082240/ Lizzie McGuire has graduated from middle school and takes a trip to Rome, Italy with her class. Zoolander 2 (2016) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1608290/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1608290/mediaviewer/rm859103488/ Other possibilities: Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny (2023) The Vespa has also made appearances in films such as The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (2015), Deadpool 2 (2018), and many classic Italian movies.

Vespa (2010): Not completely sure, but I think that model is an 50cc ET2, which in many countries is considered as a mopped and not a "real" motorbike Lizzie Superstar (2003) added... but isnt it a remake of Roman Holiday for teens?

@AlbertoMazarro, It looks like Lizzie Superstar (2003) borrowed substantially from the plot of "Roman Holiday", but it probably isn't a complete remake. I tend to think of it as a Disneyfied version of "Roman Holiday".

'Very cool poll and you certainly seem to know your Vespas! : ) It's also cool to see you in one of the options. I suggest two minor edits: #2: in 1960s' California (I added a possessive apostrophe after 1960s) #8: To differentiate the two factoids and make it a bit easier on the eyes, I'd use something more noticeable than hyphens, such as numbers 1) and 2) or asterisks or even em dashes 'No big deal, though, of course.

@AlbertoMazarro, Since you are an expert on Vespas, you may find this episode interesting: S24:E18 American Pickers: Picking the Godfather The Pacific Northwest is a picking paradise as Mike crashes into the godfather of Italian scooters while Robbie and Jersey nearly drown in a sea of smalls. The so-called "godfather of Italian scooters" was an American Vespa dealer, who had vintage Vespas and Vespa related items.
