Live Poll: Rest in Peace, Rick Davies

Intro: Rick Davies was lead singer in the pop and rock band Supertramp. He was born on July 22, 1944 as Richard Davies in Swindon, Wiltshire, England; and passed on September 6, 2025 in East Hampton, Long Island, USA at age 81. Supertramp had their greatest hits in the 1970s and 1980s and they can claim to have made some evergreens that even today stay in mind. I have done a little research about which of their songs are even today bestsellers by stream. (Count of streams as of 2025.) Which of these top selling streams of the band best shows the variety of the band? Please tell us here. Suggestions: Set. List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls4104305797/ Poll: https://www.imdb.com/poll/KOxuOh8LkwVAKPewudJiQA/

Hi Breu, I left a comment and suggestion below, at the bottom of this page, as a reply to your first comment. I had a problem earlier with posting so that's why I posted it there. : )

Thank you, Ruby. That all makes sense. I've put the edits in the intro. I also just asked Dan and you in the comment below, If I should skip the numbers in the options. I thought it would make the band look still impressive, but on the other hand, I'm not sure, if the counts may influence the results. What do you think about? I guess the logical song will be number one anyway. Everybody knows that song. ;)

@Breumaster, @rubyfruit76 (Sara) posted the following to this thread. But it was marked private. She emailed it to me and I'm re-posting at your her request. = = = Hi Breu, I've always really liked "The Logical Song" and "Give a Little Bit" so I'd vote for one of those two. When I was in grade school, a priest read the lyrics to "The Logical Song" in his homily and said that they could be applied to Jesus. That had a big impact on me and even now, when I am no longer religious, that resonates with me. : ) I have two suggestions regarding the poll: Since songs and albums can no longer be bought on or from Spotify, I suggest not using the phrases "bestsellers" or "top selling" but rather something like "top streams." I suggest specific edits below but I'm sure there are other alternatives. I also made a few edits to punctuation in the intro. I also have a question: I don't think one song, by definition, can show variety so I'm wondering what you think about a more straightforward question like "Which of these top streams of the band is your favorite?" I didn't include that in the suggested edits below but I think some kind of change like that might be better. Rick Davies was lead singer in the pop and rock band Supertramp. He was born on July 22, 1944, as Richard Davies in Swindon, Wiltshire, England, and passed on September 6, 2025, in East Hampton, Long Island, USA, at age 81. Supertramp had their greatest hits in the 1970s and 1980s and they can claim to have made some evergreens that even today stay in mind. I have done a little research about which of their songs are even today very frequently streamed. (Count of streams as of 2025.)

Thank you very much Ruby and Dan. Ruby's edits make all sense I can think of. It's a little rude how the bot censored her text. He has a low step for freaking out. There is nothing in the posting of Ruby I would have censored. It's harmless. I've made the edits. What do you guys think of cutting the numbers in the options? Should I? If not, just simply get it online, if you want. ;)

@Breumaster, Since I'm a data nerd, I like the numbers. Your poll looks ready to me, but I will wait for the opinion of the other poll admins.
