Since GabrielFox made up another Thread and list with Redfords characters, I edited the list a little to concentrate on the movies. Roles are mentioned in the options, but the movies are now the main subject.

He mostly always was very sympathetic. That's also how he was perceived overseas. A very sympathetic American. Everybody I know did like him, when he was a subject talking about his movies. I guess my fav will be 'The Sting'. Great movie!

Both, Jeremiah Johnson and Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid are also among my favorite movies, but I give the edge to The Natural (1984), Role: Roy Hobbs for me.
