@Breumaster My vote: Science officer and first officer, maybe half-vulcan with unmatched logic. For your consideration: An advanced alien with unmatched powers. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708478/mediaviewer/rm2001124610/ https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708478/mediaviewer/rm1648803074/ A rogue and conman. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708432/mediaviewer/rm3579560705/ A bureaucrat. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708480/mediaviewer/rm3916089088/ An alien life form. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0708460/mediaviewer/rm3058301185/

Hi, Dan. I took all your suggestions. Just on the last one, I've made a "No!" or "Betty White" option of. Because the alien life form we see has no function for the Enterprise, especcially with the text you handled, I guess most people will not understand the option. While four first option shows a humanoid alien, where anyone can understand, knowing the series, that these short visitors often took over some functions, whether good or bad.

Btw.: I've set your bureaucrat on place 9, right after the main crew. Just as a little fun. Even in space, ... even in space. Gosh! ;D

If it has to be a TOS character, whiskey-guzzling engineer, obviously. If you're allowing characters from other series and films, well-meaning but constant-f***-up helmsman.

Maybe "time" is better than "year": The time is the 23rd century. #11: Communications officer. #17: or any other smaller job, #18: I would

Sounds like a fun poll idea! You could feature iconic Enterprise roles like Captain, Science Officer, Chief Engineer, Communications Officer, Doctor, and Helmsman. Pair each with a fitting image from the IMDb list so participants can choose their dream post aboard Starfleet’s finest.

Kirk leading Spock 17 - 6 Only my vote for Scotty so far. ??

Scotty always was the most sympathetic of them all. I appreciate your choice. I have high respect for Spock and also like Kirk very much, but Scotty would also have been my pick. But being realistic I'm not so good like Scotty is. I'd consider his presence and honor his expertise. So I voted "Transporter chief, technician" to give someone the place who is way better than me. For me modesty is a virtue.

No one can really be as smart and effective as these fictional futuristic sci-fi characters. Most people just vote for their favourite character, or the one who has some similar personality traits or a job they would *like* to do. :)

That's sad, because it was asked the job one would do. Most of the voters seem to not understand that the spirit of the Federation is about everyone having his or her place because of his or her abilities. The deal is that no one is left out, everybody is winning in that deal. Win, win, win! But not all can be captains or first officers. Would you agree that? I'm admiring Scotty, but with realistic eyes, I'd be a little technician.

That's also sad for me, because in the image Scotty also has a red shirt. :(
