Live Poll: The "It Almost Happened" Disaster Movies

Intro: Since Hollywood was born, heroes saved the people from disasters in movies. No matter if it comes to bombs, asteroids, floods or warfare, there were always heroes who kept us save. We concentrated on mostly fictional or at least strongly dramatized scenarios without mainly intelligence services' actions. Superheroes are also left out, because there are so much of them and after their actions, people mostly always have to build up the planet completely again, which is also a catastrophe. Spoilers ahead! Which of them is the best scenario of getting into trouble and solving it? Please inform us of your local hero here. Suggestion: Please suggest a movie. No secret agent only/mainly movie, no superhero movies (I mentioned in the intro why) and no animated, please. And please tell me the plot for making fun on it, or explaining it, like in the options there are already. I might not know the movie you tell me, so I might not know the options text. List: https://www.imdb.com/de/list/ls594846487/ Poll: https://www.imdb.com/de/poll/dcpIY12IV6g/

@Breumaster, Please make these spelling corrections: The "It Almost Happened" Desaster Movies The "It Almost Happened" Disaster Movies Since Hollywood was born, heroes saved the people from desasters in movies. Since Hollywood was born, heroes saved the people from disasters in movies. Superheroes are also left out, because there are so much of them and after their actions, people mostly always have to build up the planet completly again, which is also a catastrophy. Superheroes are also left out, because there are so much of them and after their actions, people mostly always have to build up the planet completely again, which is also a catastrophe. = = = For your consideration: Colossus: The Forbin Project https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064177/ Thinking this will prevent war, the US government gives an impenetrable supercomputer named Colossus total control over launching nuclear missiles. Unfortunately, Colossus finds its Soviet counterpart, Guardian, and joins forces with Guardian to take over the world to protect humanity against itself.

Mucho thank you, Dan. I made the corrections and put Colossus on the list.

Basically you are talking about every Get smart (Mini Max) episode. I watched it and I loved it...

I don't know that TV-series. Is it good? On the other hand - it's about movies.

I see there are many different titles called "Get Smart". Which one was on your mind?

Please correct: heroes who kept us safe. Superheroes are also left out, because there are so many of them 5: catastrophe 6: collapses and its depleting ozone layer lets through microwave rays of the sun. Gosh! We are really lucky to have these guys working on it, even though we lose most of them. 7: That's what nuclear weapons are best for 8: but our heroes saved us from it.

Thank you, Jessica for correcting. Option 8: Doesn't it have to say "safed"? I'm a little confused about when to say safe or save. I corrected by copy and paste. It should fit, now.

@Breumaster, How "saved" is correct in this context. The description for Option 8 looks grammatical and correct. The moon almost crashes on the earth, but our heroes saved us from it. Wow, I didn't know that kind of artificial intelligence, I'm glad they finally made it for preventing the moon coming down on us!

Breu, the spoiler tags unfortunately ruin the poll. Users can only read the text in the poll results. I accidentally voted for an option when I clicked on the option to show the text. Please remove the spoiler tags and re-push.

Done. Could you please re-push? Or should I ask in the re-push thread? It's sad that all the changes make the usual things unusable or otherways worse. I don't like that changeritis. I also mentioned it in the re-design threat. Hope they redo this changes with the spoiler bars. It was a good tool for polls.

The design now looks crappy. I did like the old one better.

"I also mentioned it in the re-design threat. Hope they redo this changes with the spoiler bars. It was a good tool for polls." I moved your comment to Michelle's other thread: Introducing the Redesigned IMDb Polls https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/imdbcom/introducing-the-redesigned-imdb-polls/6862de999d823178f72cf544
