Live Poll: The Smurfs Franchise

The Smurfs are a fictional colony of small, blue, humanoid creatures that wear white trousers with a hole for their short tails and white Phrygian caps. They live in mushroom-shaped houses in the forest and their names are based on adjectives that emphasise their characteristics. So far, this franchise has 3 TV series and 5 theatrical films (2 animated films, 2 live-action animated films and 1 computer-animated film). Which title from this list is your favorite? https://www.imdb.com/list/ls592692991 https://www.imdb.com/list/ls592692991/copy https://www.imdb.com/poll/tqTSRKnomug/

Good choice. My choice is the TV series "Smurf" (1981). I remember watching all the episodes when I was a kid.

I'm jealous of you a little, because you watched the series in your childhood...

It's never too late to watch movies and TV series that you couldn't watch before.

I agree, but watching such a series as Smurfs in childhood is totally different from adulthood...

I remember the 1980s TV-series. I watched it each time it was on TV, but then until the end of the episode, I was busy with something other. I lost the interest while watching. That never happened with Captain Future or Tom & Jerry. I couldn't have enough of these series. Also Sindbad, Pinocchio and Perrine, maybe Niel Holgerson. There were a few interesting TV-series for kids that were made way better than the r.u.b.b.i.s.h. which is squeezed out today. ;D

OMG, I remember Captain Future, that was the first animated TV series I ever watched, then Tom & Jerry and The Smurfs. That was a blast from the past.

We had some more. I guess the best TV-series for Kids were: Die Sendung mit der Maus (The Broadcast with the mouse) https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0065345/ and Pusteblume... (Dandellion) ... Where Peter Lustig (Peter Funny) explained children the world. https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0772602/ Löwenzahn (also Dandellion) https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0135097/ Also with Peter Lustig https://www.imdb.com/de/name/nm0527341/ These were a way good series for additional kid-education in their spare time. Both were a king of reality-format, very suitable for children. I could even imagine to watch these format today. They are very worthy and helped a whole generation of kids to understand things which happen in the world, better. @GabrielFox: I even got the Soundtrack of the German TV-series which was made by Christian Bruhn. It was that great, that in 1998 there was a radio hit with a remix of Captain Future's soundtrack. The original soundtrack on yt (search for): Captain Future Soundtrack - Christian Bruhn (Cyan Vinyl S1) Captain Future Soundtrack - Christian Bruhn (Cyan Vinyl S2) The remix of one of the tracks (search for): Phil Fuldner - The Final/The Captain Future Theme (Radio Flight)
