Live Poll: The Wall

Intro: The album of Pink Floyd: The Wall (1982) is more than just an album - it’s a surreal journey through isolation, control, and rebellion. The music and visuals explore what it means to build emotional walls and the cost of breaking them down. Now imagine you had the power to de-materialize, re-materialize, and stay completely invisible. Which wall or walls in history, fiction, or real life would you slip behind to witness what really happened at its most interesting time? Suggestions: Like the description in the intro. Thank you, Mario. I don't know why someone would like to look behind the moving walls. Maybe because she wants to know how the mechanism works? Hmm. And the game - really? I take that as a humorously option like the witchhammer in the hammer-poll. I've put them on the list. These are options now. I just think they won't get many votes, but ... ;D Ok.

I like Wall-E and the walls he built with much effort and heartfull zeal, but why would someone like to go through these walls? What would there behind? Guess! Just other walls or other crap. I've put it on the list Alberto, but to be honest if there are 35 items on the list and there comes in a better, I'll drop it. I guess it could catch some votes by people who keep sorrow of us and the planet, but it does make no sense regarding the question.

Maybe it's interesting, if Wall-E treasures some of his art he did inside the walls he buildt? I let him stay on the list. Because I really like him and because Wall-E is a click-magnet.

What a great poll, Breu! It's such a creative idea, with some great options, and the intro is so well written. It's immediately going on my list of favorite polls. It's also wonderfully empathetic. Bravo! I suggest some small edits to some of the captions: Option #1: The Great Wall of China #2: Some walls of Wall Street (omit "the") #4: Do you mean the walls of a church, temple, or other place of worship? I'm not sure that I understand "convent" and it could possibly be misunderstood as something kind of creepy. #6: ..."when someone prominent is incarcerated" #11: do you mean the the walls of a restaurant? "Food producer" sounds like a factory farm, which brings to mind some very grisly things, or a factory of some other kind, which brings to mind a lot of machinery but no people except for silent ones acting rather robotically. The photo you chose made me think of people sharing conversation, which makes me think "restaurant." #16: The walls of the little environment saver Wall-E built of our crap (added "of" after "walls") #19: I didn't see that movie but a person isn't a firewall so I'm assuming you mean something like "A firewall, like Rat designed" or "bypassed"? #20: ..."severely disabled or catatonic people"... "make them feel better and not so alone" (changed "severe" to "severely" and replaced the comma with "and" before "not so alone") #23: "I would rather hear"... or "I'd rather"...

Ruby, I made the edits. ... #4: convent = cloister #11: producer = factory #19: bypassed - Rat is a hacker in that movie Thank you for pointing these things out. I've made the poll up when I was tired. I hope it gets online, soon. I also hopw the poll for Roland Emmerich will be released on November 10. He is such a good German export and turns 70 that day.
