I count his tragic flaw from the first time he abducted a minor criminal and killed him. From there he and Pinkman stayed in deep continuing trouble. Jesse was clever enough to say "stop" at a later point, but could'nt get out, while Walter was thrilled and didn't want to stop. He was a complete other person, than he was at the start of their "little journey". What a change! The first killing was the ponr.

Thanks, Breu: 'definitely food for thought. And I think when you say "Walter was thrilled," you're exactly right. It's like he got high not from the drug, of course, but from so much that surrounded his involvement with it. It reminds me of his very last scene with Skyler when he admits that he didn't do it for his family but for himself -- that it made him feel alive. (Oh, and I added your photo for narcissism.
