Live Poll: Which Classic Bud Spencer Smack Is Your Favorite?

He wasn’t just a gentle giant — he was a symphony of slaps, hammer punches and tavern brawls. Which signature Bud Spencer move makes you cheer the most?

Hi Alberto, I had never heard of Bud Spencer before but after looking at your two Spencer suggestions, I read his profile and oh my gosh, how interesting. I was shocked to read that he was an Olympic swimmer. How funny to go from a top tier athlete to an eating contest contender (or at least in movies and TV?) to a spaghetti western actor to a politician. That reminded me a bit of Schwarzenegger and an American wrestler and politician whose name I can't remember at the moment. Spencer's transformations seem even funnier to me, especially because there seemed to be more of them. 'Very funny. : )

😮 really?!?! In Spain, Italy and I think in Germany they loooove him... Their films, specially with Terence Hill, are ones of my generation favourites when child. I though it was the same in most of the World

Oh that American wrestler and politician -- his name is Jesse Ventura. He was governor of the 22nd most populous American state.

I'll ask a few of my older siblings if they know of him. I'm not sure if it is an American/European divide or a generational one -- or maybe it's just because I just have my head in the sand sometimes, lol.

I remember him from Hulk Hogan time... I had lots of fun watching WWF on those times

@AlbertoMazarro See, maybe I just had my head in the sand because I only vaguely remember Hulk Hogan, even though I know that he is quite well known. I remember that when I was a small child, my sibling who's closest to my age was a teenager and would watch wrestling but his hero at that time was a local wrestler. Then he started to lift weights and went through a Schwarzenegger phase -- posters by his lifting bench and watching his movies, especially the old ones for motivation, lol.

Oh and by the way, those images are quite entertaining. The second one -- for the "spinning slap" -- is my favorite, although the sixth and ninth are close seconds. : )
