Mario, I know you were visiting Munich in the 1990s, you once told. Have you been to Geiselgasteig? There was a part of the U96 from the movie 'Das Boot' exhibited. Everyone was able to walk through a part of the sumarine. It was very impressive how tight it must have been to live there each day. I wonder, if the crews around the world are not effectively psychologically traumatized, just because of their abidance in such submarines. And I wonder, if it is still exhibited.

I was not visiting, I was living there. Almost 10 years. Wonderful city. I was there indeed. I was terrified by how narrow a real submarine is. I felt like being in a coffin. Horrible. I always thought the inside of a submarine was spacious like this: https://youtu.be/pqsBdNsa2hA?si=w6PYn_YtOk0DvriD&t=1862 That was my notion of a submarine :))) I stayed inside it for some minutes and ran away! Ich bin ein Oberflächenbewohner !

I see!! That is much space in that submarine. Very comfortable. When did you leave Munich? Maybe 1997?
