When I first saw your question, my mind immediately flashed back to the 1982 film also titled "Paradise." It obviously has nothing to do with the shows you are speaking about.
In that movie, Phoebe Cates (the red bikini girl from Fast Times at Ridgemont High) is stranded in the desert, traveling from one oasis to another. She was even more revealing in her costuming in this one.
