Poll Suggestion: Favorite Luchino Visconti Film
The legacy of Luchino Visconti is at once extraordinary and complex. Born into Italian aristocracy as Count of Lonate Pozzolo, he was wealthy before becoming a film director. This allowed him to deliver some of the most lucid portrayals of aristocracy's decadence and Italy's history.Yet, he was a Marxist, and his early career was devoted to Italian neorealism.Beneath the appearances, Luchino Visconti's artistic periods share many similarities; he consistently treated his historical subjects with profound erudition and respect. And, whether he depicted the 20th century or the 18th century, he kept a keen eye for nuances and anthropological interpretations. So, which of his feature films is your favorite?

Hello,
This will probably be my last poll suggestion.
I know I have left quite a few of my earlier ones unattended. Unfortunately, I am to busy to catch-up on all those. I am sorry for this.
With university, it has been harder to find time to write poll suggestions. And, since I last posted on the forum, I have started working in film distribution; this takes up much of my free time (i am doing it freelance).
I am still grateful for all the years I spent learning about cinema on here.
