Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer
A very good movie about a real-life serial killer:
Der Totmacher
Another German Serial Killer:
Der Goldene Handschuh
Clint Eastwood's serial killer movie:
Changeling
Korean stuff:
I Saw the Devil
@Breumaster
The very classical American one:
Maniac
With descent cast:
Dressed to Kill
What about that?:
Peeping Tom
or that classic?:
The Abominable Dr. Phibes
The abysmal low and dirty organized ones:
8mm
Yes, The House That Jack Built and Tras el cristal. Quite a few of these films deal with some very sick, twisted shit, with dehumanization often being a big factor.

I hope there will be a second part, because there are some very interesting among the suggested.
If I think a little longer maybe some other would come to my mind. I think it's good that From Hell is on the list. A few days ago I saw a documentation about the miracles surrounding him. For some people he even is a cult figur. They call themselves Ripper-ologists. Jack the Ripper was the first official serial killer. I'm sure there were others before. But policework got developed and enhanced, so they first saw the murders in correlation.
Why? If you would treat the subject like that, the ~1.5 Million people who gave 'The Silence of the Lambs' a 7+/10, should have a treatment. Also the millions of readers of the book. Patrick Süßkind wrote 'The Perfume' which also is about a s.e.r.i.a.l k.i.l.l.er. Do these books have to be banned, because of p.r.o.mo.t.i..ng s.e.r.i.a.l k.i.l.l.i.n.g.s? - J.e.s.u.s! Before asking, why all this dots: It's not a mental illnes, but the censoring on this site.
I wouldn’t say all Silence of the Lambs fans need therapy. The issue isn’t with people liking movies with serial killer plots, but with actively seeking them out and having them as favorites.
It’s not the same as having a favorite rom-com.
Maybe they just want to see them get caught? Isn't that logical? In the case of 'The Silence of the Lambs', Hannibal Lecter escapes. But in other movies they are caught and that's the most common scenario. So what? There are just a few movie where they really escape, like TSotL. I'm a little baffled about your statement. I just see an entertainment thrill in peoples wish to watch these movies. It's a little derogative to say they are in need of therapy, isn't it?
