Poll Suggestion: Marionette Movies and Series

My vote: 1st Supercar (1961–1962) 2nd Thunderbirds (1965–1966) 3rd Fireball XL5 (1962–1963) 4th Stingray (1964–1965) Although it is clearly not a show based on marionettes, I've considered Space: 1999 (1975–1977) to be one of Gerry Anderson's supermarionation series. The acting is just as wooden as that of marionettes; the writing and production values were on par with his supermarionation series. Not to mention, every time that he misbehaves or lies, his nose grows... Diver Dan (1961) - Dan explores a magical undersea world "peopled" by talking fish and ruled by a beautiful and wise mermaid. Much of the drama is fueled by the nefarious Baron Barracuda and his henchfish Trigger who, "dripping" with evil intent, scheme to eliminate Dan and destroy the peace and serenity of the inhabitants. Land of the Giants (1968–1970) Episode: The Marionettes (1970) - The Earthlings help a friendly puppeteer when he is injured by performing as marionettes at a carnival, but the owner suspects that the aliens are the real star of the show and plans to capture them for the reward.
