I remember thinking that she was very funny on Golden Girls, which I used to watch late at night when I was in grad school. I think I must have also seen her in either "Alice" or "Flo" reruns over the years, as well, because I definitely remember that character, Flo, but I'm just a bit too young to have seen her on the original airings. Am I right that Flo chewed gum a lot? Lol. As usual, your intro is really good and you chose good images. : ) I suggest two small edits to the question: Her career consisted of standout performances: which of these television characters do you remember most fondly? (I removed the "was" before "consisted" and replaced the comma with a colon. If you prefer a semi-colon or period, either of those would work, too.)

I'm wondering if there's a way to use her last name and tie it to Thanksgiving (or the winter holidays) while still being respectful, of course, to her memory? Perhaps something subtle? Just an idea.

Hmm maybe, I’ll think about how to tweak it so it works best.
