Poll Suggestion: Rape’n’Revenge in Movies - Therapy, Entertainment or Cashcow?

Intro: Since the 1970s a mass of rape'n'revenge movies fill the movie market more and more. It seems the subject inflates by allways showing similar scenarios in uncountable versions, especially in the last ten years. The horror and crime genre is overstuffed with that kind of movies and sometimes it's hard to find a horror or crime movie which does not contain a rape'n'revenge scenario. On the other hand It seems that the audience can't get enough of the subject. Since the boom of these movies in the last years, the quality of many productions perrished. Some seem to just float on the boom to create cash with shocking the audience, but they are often interchangeable and cheap made. What do you think about the content of these movies?
