I can't tell you how extreme I hate smoking in movies. But there is a chinese director, who has smoking in really EVERY scene of all of his movies. And the last Joker movie, which I don't really like, because exact this jail scene with Arthur Fleck and and Lee Quinzel. The smoking scenes in Schindler's list and Blondie smoking his little cigars in The good the bad and the ugly. The passing of the soldier taking his last smoke before he dies. There are many good movies with smoking scenes in it, but ... Smoking is such a waste and useless crap. I got bad asthma problem and smell cigarett smoke up to 50 meters ahead. It's a warning for me smelling it. 5 Billion cigarett butts are thrown in the Oceans each Year and the fishes that eat it die and end up in fishing nets. Well, have a good appetite! ;( In Germany there is a new programm to help quitters quit within 1 workshop taking 5 hours, 238,-€, evaluated still 50+% success after a few month) If someone would start smoking in my home, I'd throw him or her out, even family members! I hope they'll do lesser content with smoking in movies and I also hope I will endure to see how it stops on earth, before I die.
