Schindler's List Overall: 1-2001: A Space Odyssey 10/10 2-Vertigo 9/10 3-Goodfellas 9/10 4-Django Unchained 8/10 5-Schindler's List. It is at most a 7/10. Spielberg's best film (warning: unpopular opinion) is Munich (7/10). Otherwise, he is mostly in the 4-5-6 range. About Munich: The Hatikvah scene is pretty good. Good enough to incite me to learn by heart Israel's anthem(8.5), the opening scene is pretty visceral (on par with Saving Private Ryan's D-Day (8/10). That being said the D-Day scene isn't Saving Private Ryan's opening scene. Therefore, the opening of Munich takes the palm as the greatest Spielberg opening. I also like in the film the discussions and conflicts between the character. What I dislike the most is how he wants to invest us emotionally at a certain point in the film when he makes us believe that one of the target's daughter is about toblow up in an explosion cause by our protagonist. As a Spielberg "connaisseur", I'm tired of seeing him "exploit" children for suspense or tears, he is cheap. However, I must say that this scene poses an interesting moral dilemma because, for once, the danger threatening the child isn't caused by an enemy (e.g. Nazi) or a creature (e.g. a shark), but by the protagonist. The good guys in this Spielberg film aren't so heroic and their end isn't so joyous either.

The best movie on the poll is Schindler's List. My favorite is The Last Crusade. WHen I have that dilemma, it is sometimes hard knowing which way to vote.
