@mariojacobs I respectfully disagree. The people on the steps are being methodically mowed down by an army from above and being shelled by a navy on the water. For them, the number of soldiers did not matter. Besides, in the 1920's you did not have special effects to be able to show huge CGI armies.
For your consideration, what about the Bug army in Starship Troopers!

The idea behind this list is:
the number of attackers must be overwhelmingly larger than the number of the attacked ones.
