Poll Suggestion: The American Music Awards vs. The Eurovision Song Contest

Intro: There are two major song contest, one in America, one in Europe. Which of these big events do you rather like? Please groove here. Suggestions: Guys, I totally need your help. Please give me a text which best shows up, turns out the points about The American Music Awards. I must admit that I really have no clue about. Each help welcome. Would be good, if as many of you who know this event help to create a good text for exact that option. We should work it out together. Thanks in advance! :D List: https://www.imdb.com/de/list/ls594714595/ Poll: TBD

Thank you, Amir. Since I'm a fair person, I want to give the American Music Award the same weight on neutral ground. That means to also give the opportunity of the best positive description in the option. My problem is that I didn't follow this award, so I can't and want to give people who love it the chance to write the possibly best option-text about this award they can do. Fairness is also a matter of giving chances. No chance, no fairness. If any one can write the best possible, factual description about the American Music Award, please do. You can also work together, please do.

Weird comparison. One is an award show and the other is a talent show

Why sould that be weird? There is also a award at the end of the ESC. That's no weird comparison. Just the one is based on new talents, while the other is an inner agreement of setteled artists and the music industry. In fact the ESC concludes whole Europe plus the most of the commonwealth, so it's that big, it shouldn't be discounted as a pure talent show. It's way bigger and more significant than Americans would imagine. The award of the ESC is the glassy microphone. It's like by the Oscars - the winner takes it home with his/her name engraved on it. As like on the Oscars, the winner gets better reputation in business. That's not so far apart from Oscars or The American Music Awards, just a familiar entertainment business. The only thing I'd agree is, that while no one can vote for the Oscar at home and no one can vote for the trophies on the American Music Awards, on the ESC, the whole world can vote, which makes it more fair than the other awards. Only a part of the votes come from a regular jury, the rest of the votes are counted from the audiences. It's a partly public awarding. All-in-all: All three events are made for selling discs and streams. ;)

I'm not well-versed with the eurovision contest but from what little I've heard a better comparison would be The Voice not a TV special award show that rewards artists on their output for the entire year

There is no compareable TV Special Award Show. That would be the Difference between a mouse and an elephant. That's what I meant, when I said that many people can't guess how big the ESC really is. You'd shrink it to a mouse in your imagination. Both are world moving events in music.
