That's hidden, somehow. But considering my experience, on special occasions like e.g. obituary polls on actors like Robert Redford, I mostly happen more close to get a poll online on an obvious cause. Also polls on special days like e.g. world no tobacco day, or world no alcohol day, motherday, father day, holidays like Halloween, christmas, easter, thanksgiving, etc. have a good chance to be released on that special days, because then they make the most sense. The few days before Halloween it might be that you have good chance to place a poll. Especially when you take the effort to think of a good idea. Another point is film releases. If there is actual happening a new film release, around that time you might have a good subject with that. And of course birthdays or anniversaries. Give yourself some time to explore it. You'll see it.

I think those ideas are good and I have a good chance with them at least getting one of them online, maybe more. If not, they are on the board for next year or any years there is no further idea on it. For such a highly recurrent subject, I formerly check by the searchline in the forum, if the idea has been made up already before to make no senseless work. It's frustrating to work out a poll to finally realize it has been done by another user 3 years ago.

I guess from the last years, I got about 200 ideas still pending, but the more I have contact by discussion in the forum, the more my chances rise to get one online. Just my look on it. This year I was very active. I have taken part in many discussions, not only my own ideas. I have got online about 30+ polls this year. It also depends on how active you are. Last year I wasn't very active. I think last year, just a few went online. I had still so much interesting "The Best Role of..." polls pending, which were selected that I got a least seven additional got picked, because of pending ideas.

Alberto, please don't hide good ideas. Else another guy will suggest the idea, so he has then a little prerogative, isn't it? If I have an idea and think it might be worth it, even though it's for a holiday that happens to be in half a a year from now, I'll throw my hat in the ring and maybe remember by *bump*-comentary a week before. If it's not taken, so what? Someday it will be considered. I was often surprised how late some of my ideas got remembered. If I didn't do it, no one would ever know. As Wayne Gretzky once said: "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take." Look at other users like Aris_Athanas or GabrielFox. They have ideas every day which they throw out. It doesn't make sense to hide good ideas. They both claim many of them.

You really have good ideas and I see that many of your lists are very well worked... They are not just lists, but anybody can see that have thinked and worked on them... After all that work it would be nice to know if they are being considered... just to work a little more on them or just pass to other

That's also a matter of activity. The more you are active, the more the chances rise to get one online. It's nice when other guys give feedback on an idea. So I work together with others by giving them suggestions they can consider and there are mostly always ideas I like to join, so I do a suggestion. Don't be shy Alberto. :D

" Thank you for that, Alberto. That's very kind. This year I had much time, so I spent plenty of time on working out polls. And I don't regret it. It's fun for me, it boosts my creativity. I can put much of my personal sight in it, even though there are some rules to obey ... like in any other communites. Some polls took half a day to work them out, others I've spent time on several occasions to work them out piece by peace. Some were released one day after, others were released weeks, months, years after. But the more I'm into it, the more fun it is. I can free my mind in here by my ideas.

Btw.: The idea "Which is Your Favorite Halloween Symbol?" was one of them which took the most time to work it out. Some images flew by, but on some of the images I took a long search. Try it yourself: Try to find a bat image on IMDb. That's a mission impossible. Only on the Batman movies you find plenty, but then people will vote on the Batman logo, not really on a bat image. But I found images on bat, spider, raven, spider's web, black cat, cauldron, which were the hardest tasks to get an image. I guess this one took about 12+ hours research for only finding fitting images. Thinking of where there could be a black cat? No movie about in mind? Internet research of movies circeling on black cats. A few in mind? visiting them and searching. No hit? further research until it's done. As I like my Halloween ideas, I spend many time and thoughts on it.
