The 2028 Summer Olympics, commonly known as Los Angeles 2028 or LA 28, officially the Games of the XXXIV Olympiad are being held in Southern California in the United States of America from 14 July  2028 to 30 July 2028. Worldwide, people will visit its hosts, the five county metropolitan Los Angeles area (plus two subsites in Oklahoma City for cost control reasons), over this two-week period through the power of television. These locations have served as the backdrop or been an essential plot element in thousands of movies over the past century, making it a very familiar destination for many viewers.
