P.S. What is the Best Car Racing Movie?

List page: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls599856753/?ref_=up_urls_t_1 Poll page: WHAT IS THE BEST CAR RACING MOVIE? This list is drawn from the IMDb own short film about car racing movies (which I found when I looked up “Grand Prix”, and from a the promotional short for “F1: The Movie” (which I highly recommend people to see but must warn that there is a epilepsy photosensitivity warning attached to the film because of the flashing taillights of the racing cars and the burst of flames coming out of the cars). From these two lists and two other films that the IMDb recommends. Which one is the best? The IMDb shorts are https://www.imdb.com/video/vi704628761/?ref_=ttvg_vi_2 and https://www.imdb.com/video/vi365149977/?ref_=ttvg_vi_1 Four of these movies are true stories and two of them are about the same 1966 Le Mans race. The shorts don’t which one of the “Fast and the Furious” films they were referring too. So I listed the two that I know have races in them. There is a third with a street race in Cuba, but I can’t remember which one it is.

I just can’t remember which one of the fast and furious films starts with a street race in Havana, Cuba.

I guess you meant Fast & Furious 8 aka The Fate of the Furious. My first 3: 1. Rush 2. Senna 3. Ford v Ferrari The best car surely is a Lamborghini! Love you, guys! A big Ciao! goes to Via Modena, 12, 40019 Sant'Agata, Bolognese (BO), Regio Emilia-Romagna, Italia.

Thanks! Added. And staying for a minute more “The Fate if The Furious”. The character of Roman you love you for the Lamborghini remark. Remember the film has couple of jokes about it? “Roman Pearce: [Looks at a Lamborghini Murcielago] I'm in love. Eric Reisner: Again, no, no! That's a million dollar show car. The point is to not draw attention. Roman Pearce: That's reverse psychology. Dom will never see it coming. Eric Reisner: It's neon orange. The International Space Station will see it coming.“ “Roman Pearce: Why are they shooting at me? Tej Parker: I don't know. Maybe because you're in a orange Lamborghini. Roman Pearce: Shut up, Tej” If you haven’t seen it, I would suggest to see John Frankenhiemer’s “Grand Prix” while I gave the film an eight, it is not because of the racing footage. I give the racing scenes a solid 10. Frankenhiemer really did crack the problem on how to film a race realistically and every film that came after is copying the techniques he used. And there is no back screen special effect used for people driving cars anywhere in the film that was so prevalent at the time this was made. Zero! And Frankheimer used actual formula one drivers in the other cars for the shots specially for the film. He got it as legitimate as possible as he could get it. The tall lanky guy with the mustache, that is the real formula one racer car driver Stewart. And a lot of others. The reason I gave the over all film an eight is not because of the race footage (that is a solid 10) , it is because of technical problems in the filming of the story between the races. The dubbing of Antonio Sabato and Toshiro Mifune’s voices into English. You can tell they were talking in their native languages and were dubbed for the English version badly and jarring. It is louder than the voices of those also in the scene. Thank god, Yves Montand could speak English and French and didn’t need to be dubbed. People are talking about bringing this film back to the big screen. I suggest they better work on the soundtrack to blend the dubbing in in better. The other problem is the March at the end. I know the effect Frankheimer was going for at the end but I think the score for the March music could have been arranged better to achieve it.

Well, Lambos' can also be black or any other color, so Roman should have chosen a black, if able to. I think they only have put it in to mock Lambos, but for me they are the hottest s..t. :D So high five, Roman! Team Lambo fur sure! ;) I also like Lamborghini better than Ferrari, because Ferrari stipulate the owners which buy their cars to keep the original color from manifacture. I don't like that snobistic attitude. Ferrari should be glad when people upgrade the design by sleek and nice colored foiling. If a good designer does well, Ferraris could look like vehicles from heaven. But ... :( Lamborghini often had problems with his Ferrari and complained to the company boss, Enzo Ferrari. Ferrari replied that Lamborghini could only build tractors properly, not sports cars, whereupon Lamborghini wanted to prove his adversary wrong and built a faster sports car. That's innovation! Two thumbs up for the "underdog". :D
