Suggestion: Walter White's Tragic Flaw (Feedback requested)

List: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls594802440/?ref_=up_urls_t_1 List Copy: https://www.imdb.com/list/ls594802440/copy/ Poll: TBD In 2013, Sir Anthony Hopkins wrote Bryan Cranston a letter applauding the excellence of Breaking Bad (2008), as well as his and the other castmates' performances, continuing "what started as a black comedy, descended into a labyrinth of blood, destruction and hell. It was like a great Jacobean, Shakespearian or Greek Tragedy." One essential element of a classical tragedy is that the protagonist has a tragic flaw that leads to his, her, or their downfall. For example, Macbeth's tragic flaw is ambition. Which of the following traits do you think is Walter White's tragic flaw? Feedback Requested: I listed six tragic flaws but have eleven images. For example, I have two images each for hubris and narcissism. If you have an opinion about which photo fits which trait best, please let me know. Thank you! : )

His compulsive urge for perfection in every aspect he has: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0903747/mediaviewer/rm2826322944/ So he overestimates other people's intelligence, like in the scene with the bath tub and floor, which Jesse broke with acid.

His continuosly sporadic lack of preparation?: https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0903747/mediaviewer/rm1098004225/ He always again got into situations he could'nt cope at once, because he had'nt enough knowledge about the people he messed with and so he could'nt think from the end. He was an always improvising crime artist. Maybe better that one?: https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0903747/mediaviewer/rm1317013760/ Or that one: https://www.imdb.com/de/title/tt0903747/mediaviewer/rm2033868288/ He continuosly lived on razor's edge since he first got into deep trouble. I count his tragic flaw from the first time he abducted a minor criminal and killed him. From there he and Pinkman stayed in deep continuing trouble. Jesse was clever enough to say "stop" at a later point, but could'nt get out, while Walter was thrilled and didn't want to stop. He was a complete other person, than he was at the start of their "little journey". What a change! The first killing was the ponr.

Thanks, Breu: 'definitely food for thought. And I think when you say "Walter was thrilled," you're exactly right. It's like he got high not from the drug, of course, but from so much that surrounded his involvement with it. It reminds me of his very last scene with Skyler when he admits that he didn't do it for his family but for himself -- that it made him feel alive. (Oh, and I added your photo for narcissism. I might add other images you suggested when I have more time. Thank you again.)
