The best poll from each year
"The poll that received the most votes from each the 13 year."

That's a nice idea, but with the new poll design we can't click on the links to view the polls before voting. I guess it helps a bit if you include the poll question, but it would be better to see the polls.

Vandurath already posted a similar suggestion, but if you still want to suggest this poll, please do. I guess it could also wait for the end of the year or next year's anniversary.

Now I wish that my first poll had nearly 2500 votes, lol. I felt the same about my first poll (Face-Off: 'The Lord of the Rings' vs. 'Game of Thrones' vs. 'Harry Potter'), which is still somewhat successful for today's standards. But my best poll has around 1260 votes. It got featured, somehow. I was so baffled when that happened, I was on a holiday in Greece and just returned from the beach, when a pleasant surprise came up ;). Even though that was only a month ago, I still don't know how it got featured, since new authors don't get featured polls very often! 

Well, it's time to tell funny stories, isn't it? It is the 13th anniversary of IMDb Poll. ;D

Also, the irony of this is that we are celebrating the 13th anniversary of IMDb Poll, but 13 is the number of bad luck. And indeed, the polls had the least votes this year.

@Jessica​   Wow!!!!  I remember a lot of those names from those days (Mister Milich, etc.).  Thank you for that blast from the past.

By the way, I voted for Samantha Stephens back in 2014 and would vote for her again today.  This site still has the record of that vote.

So how did it work back then? Did you have a discussion board where you suggested polls and others could leave their comments, like we do here? And who published the polls (I assume staff members)?

@Jessica​   That was back in the days when this website had discussion boards for each movie and tv show.  There was also a discussion board on here to submit polls and for the other poll authors to suggest edits or obvious omissions (like happens still in these days).  Some unknown staff member, who never communicated with us, selected one poll per day.  It was rare for new submitters to get their ideas chosen and it generally took over a year before your first idea was published.
