Two Live Polls: AFI Top 50 (Overrated) Greatest Screen Legends

Most fans of cinema know of the AFI 100 lists released from 1998-2008. Many see the AFI 100 Years...100 Stars which featured only 50 names (25 men and 25 women) as a definitive list on the greatest actors and actresses of all-time. However, since everyone has different tastes there may be at least one name on the list they don't agree with or at the least they'll question. That said, who is your pick as the most overrated actor on the list that you would remove? He's certainly a legend, but I'm not a big fan of John Wayne. For the women, I've never understood the appeal of Shirley Temple movies. @themoviesmith Great idea for polls!

@rubyfruit76​ Thanks for the compliment. I get you responses for both, I just think their appeal is due to a different time, different tastes for said time. I sometime wonder what future generations will say about movies from now a days.

I'm surprised so many people are opposed to Bette Davis and Marlon Brando. Bette Davis is my absolute favorite Old Hollywood actress (especially since she crossed over to horror movies in the 1960s and 70s) and Marlon Brando was excellent both in A Streetcar Named Desire and The Godfather, playing two very different people at very different stages of his life. I agree that John Wayne is WAY overrated. Didn't he like, play one character his entire life? "Cowboy"?

I'd lose Grace Kelly and Ava Gardner - Olivia de Havilland and Myrna Loy deserve to be remembered in their places. But GK is deffo my one pick to lose from the list.
