There's no particular problem with it. It basically just has to be selected by one of the people doing the selecting. Since it's not a very current subject maybe it's not a top priority.

Katherine Heigl as Jane Nichols in 27 Dresses (2008) gets my vote. FYC, you ommitted Heigl's rom-coms, Katherine Heigl as Jennifer "Jenny" Farrell in Jenny's Wedding (2015) and Katherine Heigl as Arlene in 100 Girls (2000) in the secondary romance from the answer pool.
