Ability to search in Plots across all episodes and all seasons of a TV series

Hi,

In the “old days” before the Empire, before the dark times… - sorry, wrong reference 😄

In the “old days” before IMDb began full episode support, you (the user) were able to see all data (Plots and Cast) for all episodes combined on one page. This was very handy when you needed to find a specific episode(s) and you were able to do this from a simple “text search on the page”, by searching the Plots.

As a contributor I often used this feature.

But this all changed when full episodes were introduced.

And now you can only see episodes on one page, either limited to a single season or to a single year.

Well, could you please implement a third option: Display all episodes of the title!

Season, Year, All

And thus reintroducing the ability to search in Plots across all episodes and all seasons of a TV series.

It may take a while for the page to load, but that’s the option I need!

A good exsmple is this title, “Troldspejlet” (1989) which has been running for 52 seasons.

https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0318251/episodes

If I need to find a specific episode based on a search through the Plots I need to do at least 26 pages of searches (through each year)!

Best,

Mads

@mads_larsen_nielsen You can still do this -> https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?series=tt0318251&count=250 (3 presses of the “250 more” / “3 more” and you have all episodes and you can search away).

Hope this helps.

@Col_Needham Thanks for chiming in with this solution. But for some reason it doesn't display all the episodes of the title, only 753 out of 763. Do you have any idea why this is? Is there a filter on?

I would, though, still prefer the requested option on the actual "episode page". It would just make sense be able to view episodes combined either by Season, Year, or All.

Best, Mads

@mads_larsen_nielsen Thanks for the problem report on the episode number discrepancy.  This looks like a bug and we have reported this to the appropriate team.

@mads_larsen_nielsen This was a temporary glitch which would have applied had the old software still been running too.  The numbers (and page content) are now back in-sync.  Thanks again for the problem report and sorry for the inconvenience.
