Advance Title Search Question

For example, one can search Crime titles that HAVE a murder In them, but can one search Crime titles that DO NOT HAVE a murder In them? More generally, one can add to a search, but can one subtract from a search?

@bradley_kent Yes, this is possible as described in the “Excluding titles from the search results“ section of the help at https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/discover-watch/using-the-advanced-search-feature/GLUEUYWPQNPTEVPU In this case, start with: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&genres=crime&keywords=murder and then, per the help, edit the URL to: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&genres=crime&keywords=!murder Hope this helps.

Thank you. How does it work IF it is another genre that you want to eliminate from the search? For example, Crime minus Drama?

The same way per the help, start at: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&genres=crime,drama and insert the “!” ahead of the “drama” genre: https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?title_type=feature&genres=crime,!drama Hope this helps.
